Moxibustion Treatment

Liver fibrosis.

Symptom Analysis

Liver fibrosis is not an independent disease but refers to the pathological process where various pathogenic factors cause abnormal proliferation of connective tissue in the liver, leading to excessive proliferation and abnormal deposition of extracellular matrix, ultimately resulting in abnormal changes in liver structure and function. Its main symptoms include fatigue, loss of appetite, indigestion, spider nevus, bleeding, etc. There are many causes of liver fibrosis, and in clinical practice, it is often seen in viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, fatty liver, autoimmune diseases, etc.

In addition to applying moxibustion to the following acupoints, moxibustion should also be applied to the liver area and the part of the Governing Vessel (Du Meridian) that runs along the back.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
