Moxibustion Treatment

Pediatric Asthma

Symptom Analysis

Pediatric asthma is primarily caused by the contraction of bronchial smooth muscle and mucosal edema, leading to chest tightness, wheezing, and difficulty breathing, with most cases involving infection and allergies. The main reason for the high incidence of bronchial asthma in children is respiratory tract infections. Pediatric asthma is prone to occur in cold seasons or when the weather changes, such as when it is cold, damp, or after getting chilled from rain. Moxibustion has a good therapeutic effect on suppressing asthma attacks and can enhance children's immunity.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
