Obesity is caused by an imbalance in the body's metabolism, leading to an excess of fat tissue. Apart from some genetic factors, obesity is mainly due to overeating, consuming high-protein, high-fat, and high-sugar foods, coupled with a lack of exercise, resulting in an imbalance between the intake and expenditure of body heat energy, leading to the accumulation and weight gain.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
Women who desire a slimmer abdomen can achieve their goal through exercise routines: 1. Sit on a chair and slowly lift both legs upwards. 2. Gently place your hands on your lower abdomen and slowly exhale, tightening your abdomen gradually as you do so. 3. Accelerate your exhalation gradually, tightening your abdomen more and more, while keeping your shoulders relaxed. 4. Once your abdomen is as tight as possible, you should have also finished exhaling. 5. After relaxing your shoulders and abdomen, begin to inhale slowly. 6. Inhale as much as possible, without deliberately contracting your abdomen; instead, press down on your abdomen. Perform this routine two to three times each morning and afternoon, with at least 8 counts per session.
