1.Diseases of the head and facial features: Headaches and dizziness, eye pain and facial swelling, sudden deafness and tinnitus, optic neuritis, nosebleeds and throat obstruction;
2.Other diseases: Spasms and rigidity in the neck, shoulders, and back, tuberculosis of the lymph nodes, and frequent dreams.

In the lateral side of the neck, directly below the mastoid process, level with the angle of the jaw, at the posterior edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle; or at the midpoint of the line connecting the Heavenly Appearance (SI-17) and Upper Pillar(BL-10) acupoints. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)

Sit upright with a slight tilt of the head. Directly below the mastoid process, horizontally level with the angle of the jaw, in the depression at the posterior edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.
