Acupoint Location

On the head, directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline by 0.5 cun, and 1.5 cun lateral to it, at the intersection of the inner and middle third of the line connecting the Spirit Courtyard (GV-24) and Head's Corner (ST-8) acupoints. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Sit up straight or lie on your back. Measure half a horizontal finger width straight up from the midpoint of the anterior hairline, then measure two horizontal fingers (index and middle fingers) laterally, directly above the side of the nose, and press where there is a painful sensation, which is the location of this acupoint.
