Cough, asthma, chest distress, and back pain, etc.
On the back, below the spinous process of the 5th thoracic vertebra, 3 cun lateral to the midline. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Sit up straight or lie prone. The horizontal line connecting the lower angles of the scapulae is level with the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra. From here, push up 2 vertebral spinous processes (i.e., the spinous process of the 5th thoracic vertebra), then measure 4 horizontal fingers laterally from its lower edge, and press where there is a sensation of soreness and swelling, which is the location of this acupoint.
