Cough, asthma, malaria, fever, and shoulder and back pain.
On the back, below the spinous process of the 6th thoracic vertebra, 3 cun lateral to the midline. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Sit up straight or lie supine. From the horizontal line connecting the lower angles of the scapulae intersecting with the spine at the vertebra (the 7th thoracic vertebra), push up one vertebra (the 6th vertebra), then measure 4 horizontal fingers laterally from the lower edge of its spinous process, and press where there is a sensation of soreness and swelling, which is the location of this acupoint.
