On the back, below the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra, 3 cun lateral to the midline. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Sit up straight or lie prone. From the horizontal line connecting the lower angles of the scapulae intersecting with the spine at the vertebra (the 7th vertebra), measure 4 horizontal fingers laterally from the lower edge of the spinous process, and press where there is a sensation of soreness and swelling, which is the location of this acupoint.
