On the back of the lower leg, along the line connecting Middle of the Crease (BL-40) and Mountain Support (BL-57), in the center of the gastrocnemius muscle belly, 5 cun below Middle of the Crease (BL-40). (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Step 1: Lie prone or sit; Step 2: Take the midpoint of the popliteal crease and the tip of the external malleolus as the reference points; Step 3: Measure upwards from this midpoint for 4 horizontal fingers, which is the location of this acupoint. (The distance from the center of the knee to the tip of the external malleolus is 16 cun)
