Located on the lateral side of the lower leg, at the midpoint of the horizontal line connecting the tip of the external malleolus and the calcaneal tendon, 7 cun directly above, on the posterior edge of the fibula; or about 1 cun lateral and obliquely downward from Chengshan to locate the acupoint. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
The midpoint of the popliteal crease to the tip of the external malleolus along the line, then measure 1 horizontal finger width laterally and downward to locate the acupoint.
