This acupoint serves as a reference marker for the positioning of acupoints in the chest and abdomen—measure 8 cun between the two nipples.

On the chest, at the fourth intercostal space, at the center of the nipple, 4 cun from the anterior midline. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)

Sit upright or lie supine. The location of the nipple is where the acupoint is found.
