Located in the upper part of the neck, on the midline, between the lower edge of the mandible and the body of the hyoid bone, the acupoint is taken in the depression 1 cun above the lower edge of the mandible.
Supine position. Starting from the chin, move downward along the anterior midline of the neck, and you can feel the body of the hyoid bone above the Adam's apple. The depression at the midpoint of the upper edge of the hyoid bone is the location of this acupoint.
