Gastric spasms, diarrhea, knee pain, swelling, knee and tibial numbness and pain, knee wind (a condition similar to rheumatism), stomach pain, mastitis, etc.
On the front of the thigh, along the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lateral lower end of the patella, 2 cun above the base of the patella. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Step 1: Sit upright with knees bent. Step 2: From the highest point on the lateral side of the kneecap, measure vertically upwards by two horizontal fingers (the transverse diameter of the interphalangeal joint of the thumb is 1 cun). Step 3: When the lower limb is straightened with force, a depression can be felt above the outer upper edge of the kneecap. Step 4: The midpoint of this depression is the location of the acupoint.
