Tinnitus, deafness, purulent discharge, toothache, otitis media, mumps, dislocation of the mandible, facial paralysis with mouth and eye slanting, facial pain, and headaches.
On the face, in front of the intertragic notch, at the posterior edge of the mandibular condyle, where there is a depression when the mouth is opened. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Step 1: Sit up straight or lie on your side; Step 2: Place your fingers below the tragus, and press on the posterior edge of the condylar process of the mandible where there is a shallow depression, which becomes more pronounced when opening the mouth; this is the location of this acupoint.
