Main Diseases for Treatment

Amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, leukorrhea, abdominal pain, hernia, pain in the waist and ribs, endometritis, adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and herpes zoster.

Acupoint Location

On the lateral abdomen, at the intersection of the vertical line below the free end of the 11th rib and the horizontal line at the level of the navel, 1.8 cun below the Gate of the Ordering (LR-13) acupoint of the liver meridian; the acupoint is located while lying on the side. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Step 1: Sit with arms extended outward or lie on your back with arms raised above your head;
Step 2: Determine the mid-axillary line: the vertical line drawn downward from the midpoint of the armpit is the mid-axillary line;
Step 3: Draw a horizontal line through the navel;
Step 4: The intersection of the mid-axillary line and the navel horizontal line is the location of this acupoint.
