On the lateral side of the thigh, when lying on the side and bending the hip, at the point where the line connecting the most prominent part of the greater trochanter of the femur and the sacral hiatus intersects with the outer one-third and the middle one-third. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Step 1: Lie on your side and bend your hip; Step 2: Place the transverse crease of your thumb on the head of the greater trochanter of the femur; Step 3: Point your thumb towards the spine, and the depression where the tip of the thumb points is the acupoint.
