On the medial edge of the foot, at the anterior-inferior aspect of the base of the first metatarsal bone, where the red and white skin meet. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Step 1: Sit upright with feet dangling or lie on your back. Step 2: On the medial side of the joint formed by the big toe and the sole of the foot (the first metatarsophalangeal joint), you can feel a bow-shaped bone (the foot's arch) when you push backward with your hand. Step 3: At the lower edge of the front end of the bow-shaped bone, you can feel a depression. Pressing this area, if there is a sensation of soreness and swelling, indicates the location of the acupoint.
