In the back area, on the posterior midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the 10th thoracic vertebra.

Sit upright or lie prone. The vertebra where the line connecting the lower angles of the scapulae intersects with the posterior midline is the 7th thoracic vertebra. Move vertically downward for three vertebrae (i.e., the 10th thoracic vertebra), and the depression at the lower edge of its spinous process is the location of this acupoint.
