Hernia, genital retraction, pain in the genital area, menstrual irregularities, metrorrhagia, hematuria, urinary retention, enuresis, strangury, mania, epilepsy, lower abdominal pain, dizziness, abdominal pain, costal pain, and cold syndrome. In addition, it has been regarded as an important acupoint for calming and restoring consciousness since ancient times.
Located at the root edge of the thumbnail (on the side close to the second toe), approximately 2 millimeters away. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Sit or lie supine. On the dorsal lateral side of the big toe, draw a line from the outer edge of the toenail and another line from the base of the nail. The intersection of these two lines is the location of the acupoint.
