Patellar swelling and pain, cold and dampness syndrome, arthralgia due to wind-dampness, lower limb atrophy and numbness, beriberi, knee rheumatism, etc.
On the medial side of the lower leg, behind and below the medial condyle of the tibia, 1 cun behind Yin Mound Spring (SP-9), and in the upper part of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Sit upright or lie on your back with knees bent. First, locate Yin Mound Spring (SP-9) on the lower edge of the medial condyle of the tibia (refer to "Yin Mound Spring"). Then, measure one horizontal finger width backward from Yin Mound Spring (SP-9), and you can feel a depression, which is the location of this acupoint.
