On the medial side of the knee, when the knee is bent, at the inner end of the transverse crease on the medial side of the knee joint, on the posterior edge of the medial condyle of the femur, and in the depression at the front edge of the attachment of the semitendinosus and semimembranosus muscles. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Sit with bent knees and legs slightly spread apart. On the inner side of the knee, you can feel a prominent bone (the medial condyle of the femur). Moving backward from the bone, you can touch two tendons (the semitendinosus and semimembranosus muscles). In the depression above the popliteal crease, at the rear edge of the prominent bone and in front of the two tendons, pressing this area will induce a sensation of soreness and swelling, which is the location of the acupoint.
