Main Diseases for Treatment

Chest and rib distension and pain, vomiting, jaundice, hiccups, acid regurgitation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, hunger without desire to eat, heat in the chest, asthmatic cough, running pig syndrome, malaria, and fever in the blood chamber due to cold injury.

Acupoint Location

On the chest, directly below the nipple, at the sixth intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Step 1: Sit upright or lie on your back (for women, lie on your back).
Step 2: Starting from the nipple, push vertically downward through two intercostal spaces (the nipple is level with the fourth intercostal space), and press where there is a sensation of soreness and swelling; this is the location of the acupoint.
