Kidney disease, toothache, headache and dizziness, sore throat and swollen tonsils, deafness, tinnitus, cough, asthma, bronchitis, chest pain and hemoptysis, thirst, irregular menstruation, insomnia, forgetfulness, nocturnal emission, impotence, frequent urination, lumbar and spinal pain, arthritis, cold hands and feet, weakness in hands and feet, rheumatic pain, swelling and pain at the medial malleolus, hair loss, etc.
On the medial side of the foot, behind the medial malleolus, at the depression between the tip of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon. (This acupoint is bilateral, one on each side.)
Step 1: Sit upright with feet dangling or lie on your back. Step 2: Push backward from the tip of the medial malleolus to the depression between it and the Achilles tendon (approximately at the midpoint between the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon). Press where there is a sensation of soreness and swelling; this is the location of the acupoint.
