In the back area, on the posterior midline, in the depression below the spinous process of the 1st thoracic vertebra.
Supine position or sitting position, with the head lowered. Starting from the prominent bony protrusion at the junction of the neck and back (i.e., the 7th cervical vertebra), move vertically downward for one vertebra (i.e., the 1st thoracic vertebra), and the depression at the lower edge of its spinous process is the location of this acupoint.
