In the lower abdomen, 4 cun below the navel center, and 3 cun lateral to the Middle Extremity (CV-3) acupoint. (This acupoint is a pair, one on each side)
Step 1: Lie in a supine position; Step 2: Identify the anterior midline: The anterior midline refers to a vertical line directly in the middle of the sternum; Step 3: Identify the pubic symphysis: Along the anterior midline of the lower abdomen, push vertically downward to feel a bone, which is the pubic symphysis; Step 4: From the midpoint of the upper edge of the pubic symphysis, measure vertically upwards along the anterior midline for 1 transverse finger (the transverse diameter at the thumb interphalangeal joint is 1 cun), and this is where the Middle Extremity (CV-3) acupoint is located; Step 5: From the Middle Extremity (CV-3) acupoint, move 4 transverse fingers to the left and right (index, middle, ring, and little fingers together, with the width of the four fingers at the level of the proximal interphalangeal joint of the middle finger being 3 cun, also known as the "one-fu method"), and this is where the acupoint is located.
