1.Cough, asthma, tuberculosis; 2.Severe neck pain, opisthotonos.
Located in the nape of the neck, directly above the Great Vertebra (GV-14) acupoint by 2 cun, and 1 cun lateral to the posterior midline. (This acupoint is a pair, one on each side)
Step 1: Sit upright, lower your head or bend your elbows and lie face down; Step 2: Identify the posterior midline: This is a vertical line made in the center of the back; Step 3: On the posterior midline, you can see a prominent bone at the junction of the neck and back; Step 4: This prominent bone that moves with the neck's rotation is the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra; Step 5: Measure two transverse fingers upwards from the base of the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra and one transverse finger outward (the transverse diameter at the thumb interphalangeal joint is 1 cun), and this is where the acupoint is located.
