Stomach pain, abdominal pain, chest and rib pain, thirst, cough, dry throat, vomiting, pancreatitis, diabetes.

Acupoint Location

In the back, located below the spinous process of the 8th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline. (This acupoint is a pair, one on each side)

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Step 1: Lie prone or sit upright;
Step 2: Determine the lower angle of the scapula when the upper arm hangs naturally against the chest wall;
Step 3: The intersection of the line connecting the lower angles of the scapulae with the posterior midline is at the 7th thoracic vertebra;
Step 4: Push vertically down from the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra to the next vertebra's spinous process, which is the spinous process of the 8th thoracic vertebra;
Step 5: There is a depression just below the spinous process of the 8th thoracic vertebra, and 1.5 transverse fingers lateral to this depression (the transverse diameter at the thumb interphalangeal joint is 1 cun), is where the acupoint is located.
