Acupoint Location

On the posterior midline of the back, in the depression below the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra.

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Step 1: Assume a prone or seated position with the head lowered.
Step 2: Identify the posterior midline: This is the vertical line made in the center of the back.
Step 3: On the posterior midline, there is a prominent protrusion at the junction of the neck and back.
Step 4: This protrusion, which can move with the neck's lateral movements, is the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra.
Step 5: There is a depression below the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra, which is the location of this acupoint.
