Main Diseases for Treatment

Shoulder and back pain, stiff neck, supraspinatus tendinitis, spasmodic pain in the scapular region, soft tissue diseases around the shoulder joint.

Acupoint Location

In the scapular region, at the medial end of the suprascapular fossa, at the midpoint of the line connecting Upper arm transporter (SI-10) and the spinous process of the 2nd thoracic vertebra. (This acupoint is paired, one on each side)

Acupoint Selection Techniques

Sit upright. From the prominent bony protrusion at the junction of the neck and back (i.e., the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra), move downward for two vertebrae (i.e., the 2nd thoracic vertebra), and the midpoint of the line connecting the spinous process of this vertebra and Upper arm transporter (SI-10) (refer to "Upper arm transporter") is the location of this acupoint.
