Fever, headache, red and swollen eyes, nosebleed, hematemesis, sore throat and swelling, toothache, deafness, facial swelling, facial palsy, stroke with locked jaw, fever without sweating, excessive sweating, diabetes, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, dystocia, abdominal pain, indigestion, dysentery, constipation, urticaria, erysipelas, boils, arm pain, influenza, acute tonsillitis, epidemic parotitis, trigeminal neuralgia, hysteria, neurasthenia, and infantile simple indigestion, etc.
On the back of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, at the midpoint of the radial side of the 2nd metacarpal bone. (This acupoint is paired, one on each side)
Step 1: Extend the arm and spread the thumb and index finger apart. Step 2: Place the transverse crease of the thumb on the edge of the web between the thumb and index finger of the other hand. Step 3: Bend the fingers, and the location where the thumb tip points, with a noticeable sensation of soreness and swelling upon pressure, is the location of this acupoint.
