Moxibustion Treatment

Quitting smoking.

Symptom Analysis

Smoking is a major cause of three major diseases: cancer, heart disease, and cerebrovascular disease. It reduces the body's immunity and can potentially induce a variety of diseases, posing a great risk to individual health. Because of this, quitting smoking is becoming increasingly important. The more one smokes, the more likely they are to chain-smoke without putting out the fire, lighting one cigarette after another continuously. Once they stop smoking, they may experience negative reactions, such as dozing off, yawning, tearing up, feeling depressed, and restlessness.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

2. Take a warm bath daily, and if you can't resist the urge to smoke, take a shower immediately.

3. Eat foods rich in B vitamins, such as whole wheat bread, walnuts, milk, and tomatoes.

4. Spend most of your time in places like libraries or other areas where smoking is not allowed.
