Moxibustion Treatment

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

Symptom Analysis

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease refers to the chronic inflammation of the female internal reproductive organs and the surrounding connective tissues, as well as the pelvic peritoneum. Its main clinical manifestations include menstrual disorders, increased vaginal discharge, lower abdominal and back pain, and infertility. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, this condition is caused by the disharmony of qi and blood, and damage to the "Chong" and "Ren" meridians. Applying moxibustion to the relevant acupoints can dispel dampness, harmonize qi and blood, and unblock the meridians, thereby improving the symptoms.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
