Ovarian cysts refer to the formation of cystic masses within the ovaries, which can be divided into neoplastic and non-neoplastic types. Neoplastic cysts are ovarian tumors, while non-neoplastic cysts include functional ovarian cysts and endometriotic cysts. Before undergoing moxibustion, it is necessary to have a medical examination to rule out ovarian tumors. Clinically, ovarian cysts often manifest as lower abdominal pain and discomfort, increased vaginal discharge that may be yellowish, foul-smelling, menstrual irregularities, and often a palpable, movable mass in the lower abdomen, which generally does not cause tenderness. The causes of this condition are believed to be an overly acidic body constitution, leading to an accumulation of waste and a decline in function, resulting in kidney deficiency, which slows down metabolism, causing ovarian diseases and endocrine disorders, and a decrease in immune function. Moxibustion is considered to be effective in regulating ovarian cysts.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
1. Maintain a good mood. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the occurrence of ovarian cysts is often related to emotional damage, so patients should be good at regulating their emotions and not let negative emotions harm the ovaries. 2. Do 30 minutes of abdominal breathing every day; the expansion and contraction of the abdominal wall muscles have a massaging effect on the uterus and ovaries. 3. Avoid sitting for long periods. Office women who sit for long periods and lack exercise are prone to blood circulation disorders, affecting pelvic health. It is best to stand up and move for 5 to 10 minutes every 40 minutes. 4. Women during menstruation and postpartum should pay particular attention to nourishment. Keep warm, avoid getting cold, and refrain from eating raw and irritating foods.
