The Yang energy represents the warmth and vitality within the human body. Yang deficiency refers to a state of insufficient Yang energy, characterized mainly by aversion to cold and cold extremities. Individuals with a Yang Deficiency Constitution should focus on warming and dispelling cold. A deficiency in Yang energy can lead to impaired organ function and obstructed metabolism, which in turn can give rise to internal dampness and cold.
Moxibustion can promote the growth and circulation of Yang energy within the body, ensuring smooth flow of Qi and blood. The human body can be likened to a furnace; it is essential to eliminate dampness, ensure the fuel is dry and abundant, and maintain good ventilation within the furnace for the fire of life to thrive.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.
(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
During daily life, it is advisable to consume more warm Yang foods such as beef and mutton, and to limit the intake of cold and cooling foods like pears, watermelon, and water chestnuts, as well as to reduce the consumption of green tea.
