Heatstroke refers to a condition where the body's temperature regulation is disrupted due to high temperatures, leading to an excessive accumulation of heat and subsequent damage to the nervous system. Heatstroke, specifically heatstroke with coma, is a severe form of heatstroke and is a life-threatening condition with a high mortality rate. This condition typically occurs during the summer when there are high temperatures combined with high humidity.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
1. Give the patient a cup of warm boiled water to drink and help them to a cool place with fresh air. 2. In case of heat syncope, mix one teaspoon of salt with 600 milliliters of water or one tablespoon of sugar with 600 milliliters of water and drink it slowly. If there is a drop in blood pressure or collapse, lie down immediately and go to the hospital for intravenous saline solution in a timely manner.
