Moxibustion Treatment

Soothing Liver and Regulating Qi Moxibustion

Symptom Analysis

Traditional Chinese Medicine holds the view that the liver is the organ responsible for the smooth flow and regulation of emotions, preferring to be unobstructed and disliking depression. It plays a crucial role in the emotional well-being of the body. If emotions are not smooth, the liver loses its ability to regulate, and the harmony of qi and blood is disrupted, leading to the reversal and stagnation of liver qi, which can manifest in various emotional disorders. Symptoms may include emotional depression, insomnia, irritability, hypochondriac pain, chest discomfort, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, and abdominal pain with bowel sounds. In women, symptoms can include menstrual irregularities, breast distension and pain, and dysmenorrhea, while in men, symptoms can include testicular pain and discomfort, perineal heaviness, and premature ejaculation.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
