Moxibustion Treatment

Appendicitis (salpingitis, oophoritis).

Symptom Analysis

Appendicitis is one of the common gynecological diseases, which actually refers to salpingo-oophoritis, a disease caused by pathogenic microorganisms invading the female reproductive organs, leading to inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries. After the fallopian tubes become inflamed, their mucosal or serosal layers may adhere, causing the lumen to be blocked. Since the fallopian tubes are adjacent to the ovaries in females, once the tubes become inflamed, the ovaries can also become inflamed. The inflammation often occurs bilaterally, and when the condition worsens, it can easily lead to female infertility.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
