Moxibustion Treatment

Prostatitis.

Symptom Analysis

Prostatitis is an inflammatory condition of the prostate gland in men of middle and young age, caused by long-term congestion of the prostate, glandular acini accumulation, and glandular duct edema due to reproductive system infections. Clinically, there are acute and chronic prostatitis. Acute prostatitis is characterized by pyuria and urinary tract irritation symptoms, while chronic prostatitis has atypical symptoms, less pyuria, and is often accompanied by varying degrees of sexual dysfunction.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

Life Tips

1. Patients with prostatitis should drink plenty of water regularly to enhance the body's metabolism and develop the habit of urinating as soon as the urge arises.

2. Pay attention to personal hygiene and change underwear promptly. Keep warm and avoid cold, do not eat irritating foods, and abstain from alcohol and tobacco.
