Moxibustion Treatment

Erectile dysfunction (impotence).

Symptom Analysis

Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, refers to the inability of a man who has not reached the age of sexual dysfunction to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for normal sexual activity during sexual intercourse. This condition falls under the category of "erectile dysfunction" in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

TCM considers erectile dysfunction to be a condition in young and middle-aged men caused by factors such as deficiency, fear, or damp-heat, leading to relaxation of the sinewal structure and resulting in a flaccid and non-erect penis, or an erection that is not firm enough for intercourse.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

Life Tips

1. Moxibustion has good effects in managing this condition. It is best to abstain from sexual activities during the treatment period.

2. Change bad lifestyle habits, quit smoking and drinking, reduce the consumption of strong tea and coffee. Rest on time and reduce fatigue.
