The term "damp-heat" usually refers to the condition where damp-heat penetrates deeply into the viscera, especially the spleen and stomach. Symptoms include a feeling of fullness and oppression in the chest and abdomen, nausea and aversion to food, loose stools, short and dark urine, a tongue that is slightly red, a yellow and greasy coating on the tongue, and a pulse that is moist and rapid. Individuals with a damp-heat constitution tend to be irritable and easily angered, unable to tolerate environments with high damp-heat, and are prone to conditions such as jaundice, heat syndromes, boils, and carbuncles.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
