Moxibustion Treatment

Chronic Nephritis (Chronic Glomerulonephritis) Recovery and Conditioning

Symptom Analysis

Chronic glomerulonephritis, also known as chronic nephritis, refers to a group of glomerular diseases characterized by basic clinical manifestations of proteinuria, hematuria, hypertension, and edema. The onset patterns vary, the disease is protracted, the progression is slow, and there may be varying degrees of renal function impairment, eventually leading to chronic renal failure. Due to different pathological types and stages of this group of diseases, the main clinical manifestations are diverse, and the disease presentation is varied. However, their common manifestations are edema, hypertension, and abnormal changes in urine.

Chronic glomerulonephritis falls under the categories of "turbid urine" and "edema" in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This condition is often caused by external pathogenic factors, improper diet, or excessive fatigue, leading to the lung's failure to ventilate and regulate, the spleen's loss of transportation function, the kidney's loss of opening and closing, and the bladder's abnormal qi transformation.

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
