Folliculitis is an acute, subacute, or chronic purulent inflammatory condition that occurs in the hair follicles.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
1. Maintain good skin hygiene. Take frequent baths, wash your hair and neck regularly, and also pay attention to changing and washing close-fitting clothes, which should be soft. 2. Pay attention to a light diet, avoid alcohol, and do not consume spicy or irritating foods, and avoid eating foods that may trigger the condition. 3. Do not scratch or squeeze the affected area to prevent the spread of inflammation. 4. Strengthen physical exercise to enhance the body's resistance. 5. For those with frequent recurrences, also eat less greasy food and more fruits and vegetables. 6. If you have folliculitis on the scalp, also avoid covering, heat, and excessive sweating, and do not wash your hair too often.
