Moxibustion Treatment

Loss of appetite.

Symptom Analysis

Loss of appetite refers to a decreased desire to eat, consuming too little food, or feeling unwell from eating. It can lead to malnutrition, a decline in physical condition, and a reduced ability to fight diseases.

There are many causes of loss of appetite, such as insufficient sleep, fatigue from overwork, and poor mood. Moxibustion can be greatly helpful in enhancing appetite.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

Life Tips

Massage Techniques:

1. Epigastric massage: Place the palm of one hand over the back of the other hand, with the palm firmly on the epigastric area. Apply moderate pressure and make clockwise circular motions for 3 to 5 minutes, until the epigastric area feels warm. Do this 1 to 2 times a day.

2. Pushing the base of the thumb: With the thumb of the left hand, push straight along the outer edge of the right thumb towards the base 100 times. (The direction must not be wrong)

3. Pressing the Hegu acupoint: Place the tip of the thumb of one hand on the Hegu acupoint of the other hand, and press it from light to heavy for 1 to 2 minutes, alternating hands.
