Depressive individuals may appear normal on the outside, but they suffer internally. Those with moderate depression may exhibit symptoms such as low mood, a frowning expression, sighing, and feelings of inferiority, often accompanied by symptoms of attention disorders, memory loss, slow reactions, and insomnia with frequent dreams. Patients with severe depression may exhibit pessimism, self-hatred, hallucinations, delusions, loss of appetite, and have a strong tendency towards suicide, posing a serious threat to their health.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
Eating more cereals, fish, green vegetables, eggs, and other foods rich in B vitamins and amino acids can also be greatly beneficial in overcoming depression. At the same time, avoid alcohol, tobacco, and irritating foods. Pay attention to self-nourishment and regular life, try to eat on time, and maintain a regular routine. Participating in physical exercise can improve the mental state of the body, so arranging physical exercise every day is beneficial to both physical and mental health.
