Symptom Analysis

Traditional Chinese medicine considers the kidneys to be the foundation of congenital essence, with physiological functions of storing essence, governing water, accepting qi, governing the bones, and generating marrow. They are closely related to the bones, blood, hair, teeth, and ears of a person. The kidneys are like the roots of the human body tree; only with deep roots can the leaves be lush. Similarly, good kidney health is essential for overall health. Therefore, nourishing the kidneys is an important means of fundamentally treating delayed development, geriatric diseases, and delaying the aging process.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes.   Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion.   The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

Life Tips

1. Those with kidney yang deficiency can appropriately consume foods that warm and strengthen the kidneys, such as mutton and Cistanche; those with kidney yin deficiency can eat nourishing foods for kidney essence, such as sea cucumber, goji berries, and white fungus.

2. Black foods are believed to nourish the kidneys, so it is beneficial to eat more black-colored foods, such as black-boned chicken, black sesame seeds, black rice, and black beans.

3. Choose suitable exercises for oneself, such as running, qigong, and practicing Tai Chi.

4. To conserve essence, one should practice moderation in sexual activity.
