It is the common wish of every parent that their children can grow up healthily and happily. Modern medical research has shown that moxibustion, as a health care method, can strengthen the body, improve the function of the spleen and stomach, replenish the lungs and boost energy, enhance brain function and intelligence, and at the same time, accelerate the physical development of children.
The acupoints mentioned can be divided into two groups for alternate stimulation. On the first day, select Great Vertebra (GV-14), Body Pillar (GV-12), Lung Transporter (BL-13), Middle Epigastrium (CV-12), and Spirit Palace (CV-8) points. On the second day, select Spleen Transporter (BL-20), Middle Epigastrium (CV-12), Heavenly Pivot (ST-20), and Surging Yang (ST-42) points. Each point should be treated for about 30 minutes, and the treatment should be rotated. A 10-day period constitutes one course of treatment, with a 2- to 3-day rest between courses before continuing the moxibustion. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
1. Research from the World Health Organization indicates that under the same conditions, the fastest growth occurs from March to May, averaging 7.3 millimeters per month, followed by the period from May to October, with an average of 6.3 millimeters. 2. Children should ensure they get enough sleep to absorb the essence of rest, but they should not oversleep. 3. During the most critical period of growth and development, parents should not only focus on making their children study hard and confining them to a room; appropriate exercise should be maintained.
