Moxibustion Treatment

Sanjiu Moxibustion (Warming Yang and Tonifying Deficiency Moxibustion)

Symptom Analysis

During the three months of winter, from the beginning of Winter to the start of Spring, which includes the solar terms of Start of Winter, Light Snow, Heavy Snow, Winter Solstice, Minor Cold, and Major Cold, it is the coldest season of the year. At this time, the Yang energy is conserved, and the circulation of Qi and blood is not smooth, leading to dry skin and blocked pores. Performing moxibustion therapy during the "three nines" can warm Yang, tonify Qi, strengthen the spleen, nourish the kidneys, and benefit the lungs. It dispels wind and cold, unblocks the meridians, activates the circulation, and relieves pain, thus serving the purpose of preventing and regulating diseases.

Moxibustion Acupoint Selection

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)

Life Tips

1. The combined use of various acupoints can strengthen the body's foundation and enhance overall health, as well as prevent the occurrence of diseases. Additionally, moxibustion has good calming and analgesic effects, which can alleviate the joint pain in the limbs caused by sudden temperature drops in winter.

2. The "Sanjiu Moxibustion" complements the "Sanfu Moxibustion"; the former is performed in the hottest days of summer, and the latter in the coldest days of winter. Together, they can significantly improve the body's immune capabilities, and their therapeutic effects enhance each other.
