Moxibustion Treatment

Menopausal Syndrome

Symptom Analysis

Menopause is a transitional period when a woman's ovarian function gradually declines and eventually disappears, typically occurring between the ages of 47 and 52. Due to changes in endocrine levels, some women experience a range of symptoms during this time, mainly characterized by autonomic nervous system disorders and dysfunction of internal organs, which is medically referred to as Menopausal Syndrome.

Self-diagnosis: Common symptoms include restlessness and heat in the hands and feet, flushed complexion, irritability, and dry mouth and bowels, which are often indicative of Yin deficiency. Other symptoms such as soreness in the waist, knees, and legs, cold intolerance, dark complexion, swelling in the face and limbs, and reduced appetite with abdominal bloating are indicative of Yang deficiency.

Treatment Course

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.

(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
