Insomnia, known in Traditional Chinese Medicine as "not sleeping" or "inability to sleep," is clinically characterized by difficulty falling asleep at night, easy waking during sleep, difficulty returning to sleep after waking, frequent dreams, and may be accompanied by symptoms such as palpitations, restlessness, soreness in the waist and knees, fullness in the chest, and dizziness. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that sleep in the human body depends on the Yin energy. When Yin energy is abundant, the eyes close, and one sleeps peacefully. The Yin energy of the body is controlled by the spirit of the heart. When the spirit is calm, it is easier for the body to fall asleep. Emotional fluctuations, such as extreme joy, sorrow, or anger, can affect the spirit of the heart. In addition, when the body lacks the essence of Qi, blood, and body fluids to nourish the organs, it can also lead to a scattered or restless spirit, making it difficult for the Yin energy to thrive at night, resulting in difficulty sleeping.

It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course. (If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
1. You can enjoy more sunlight on regular days, engage in moderate exercise, maintain a light diet, and keep a pleasant mood. 2. Try to avoid activities that can agitate emotions before going to bed, such as watching intense movies or listening to rock music. You can give yourself a massage or ask a family member to help you relax your whole body. 3. Soak your feet in hot water before bed to stimulate the acupoints on the soles of your feet, promote blood circulation, and improve sleep.
