Fatty liver is characterized by an excessive accumulation of fat within the liver cells, typically exceeding 10% of the liver's weight, which corresponds to a histological examination showing more than 30% steatosis of the liver parenchyma.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, fatty liver is believed to be caused by improper diet, emotional stress, and the liver's failure to perform its detoxifying functions properly.
It is recommended to perform moxibustion once a day, targeting 2 to 3 acupoints each time, with each acupoint being treated for 30 to 40 minutes. Rotate the points treated, with a 10-day period constituting one course of treatment, and then rest for 2 to 3 days before continuing with the next course.
(If time permits and there is a need, more acupoints can be treated with moxibustion. The specific duration should be adjusted according to one's own physical needs.)
1. Maintain regular exercise to increase the consumption of fat, in order to achieve the goal of controlling body weight.
2. Avoid the misuse of medications to prevent adding burden to the liver.
3. Consume less food with high fat content, especially the skin and internal organs of animals.
